FOREIGN MINISTER D.TSOGTBAATAR MEETS WITH MARK FIELD, MINISTER OF STATE FOR ASIA AND THE PACIFIC OF THE FOREIGN AND COMMONWEALTH OFFICE

H.E. Mr. Tsogtbaatar Damdin, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, met with the Rt. Honorable Mr. Mark Field, Minister of State for Asia and the Pacific of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, paying an official visit to Mongolia, on July 20, 2018. During the meeting sides exchanged views on existing cooperation and future direction of bilateral ties as well as regional and international issues of mutual interest.

Foreign Minister Tsogtbaatar expressed his interest in expanding Mongolia-UK relations in all possible areas as well as enhancing bilateral trade and investment cooperation and attracting our third-neighbor British investors to the stock market.

Minister Field highlighted that this year marks the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the United Kingdom, and noted that as mining is a main area of cooperation it is important to broaden cooperation of other sectors such as education and tourism.

Minister of State for Asia and the Pacific also met and exchanged views on bilateral relations and cooperation with the Chairman of the Mongolia-UK parliamentary group MP S.Batbold, Finance Minister Ch.Khurelbaatar, Environment and Tourism Minister N.Tserenbat, and Mining and Heavy Industry Minister D.Sumiyabazar. Visiting the Mongolian Stock Exchange, Oyu Tolgoi mining site and meeting with International Leaders Programme Alumni are also included in his programme.
