On the sidelines of the 80th Session of the Commission in Bangkok, Foreign Minister Battsetseg Batmunkh, who is chairing the 80th session, met with the Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and Pacific, Armida Alisjahbana, on 22 April, 2024.
During the meeting, the minister highlighted that since joining ESCAP in 1961, Mongolia has been actively engaging in cooperation and initiatives spanning trade, investment, environment, statistics, poverty reduction, energy, transit, disaster risk reduction, trade facilitation and the interest of landlocked developing countries. Therefore, Her Excellency noted that the support provided by the commission is important for the country’s contribution and participation in the sustainable development of the region.
