Minister of State for Foreign Trade of the United Arab Emirates, Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, visited Mongolia from July 8 to 11. During his visit, he participated as a panelist in the Mongolian Economic Forum-2023 and met with government and private sector representatives of Mongolia. On July 10th, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia B.Battsetseg received the Minister of State Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi and exchanged views on promotion of trade and economic cooperation between Mongolia and the United Arab Emirates.

During the meeting Foreign Minister B.Battsetseg while noting the importance of developing the relations between the two countries in all possible areas of cooperation, pointed out Mongolia’s interest in attracting investment in mutually beneficial projects, and promoting cooperation in environmental and agricultural sectors.

Minister of State Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi highlighted that the main goal of his visit is to set priorities for more tangible areas of cooperation and investment with a view expand trade and economic relations between the two countries. The parties agreed to develop mutually beneficial cooperation in the fields such as renewable energy, infrastructure, mining, environment, and agriculture, and to continue strengthening the legal environment within this framework.

The delegation of the Minister of State Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi included representatives of the renewable energy organization Masdar APAC Pte, and the Abu Dhabi Development Fund which provided soft loan for the construction of the “Taishir” hydro power plant in Mongolia. They also held meetings with representatives of private sector in Mongolia.
