Today, H.E. Mrs. B.Battsetseg, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia received H.E. Mr. Phengsavanh Keopraseuth, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic to Mongolia.
During the meeting, Foreign Minister B.Battsetseg, having pointed out that Mongolia attaches great importance to the development of relations with the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, one of its key partners in Southeast Asia, noted the importance to further expand bilateral trade and economic cooperation. The Minister also underlined vast potentials of cooperation existing between the two countries in the areas of food and agriculture, health, tourism and education.
Ambassador P.Keopraseuth, while conveying his congratulations with the successful Presidential Election during an uneasy situation with the COVID-19 pandemic, pointed out that he will attach special priority to the expantion of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries as well as facilitate business contacts.
The two sides also highlighted the importance of forthcoming commemoration of the 60th Anniversary of the establishment of Diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Laos next year.
