During her official visit to Canada, Minister for Foreign Affairs B.Battsetseg met with Mongolians living in Ottawa and Montreal, Canada on November 20, 2023.

Foreign Minister B.Battsetseg had open discussion with the participants and informed briefed on the Government policy to support its citizens abroad. The Minister also presented textbooks to Mongolian schools in Canada. Approximately 2,300 Mongolian citizens live in Canada, and most of them reside in Ottawa and Toronto of Ontario, Montreal of Quebec, Calgary of Alberta, and Vancouver of British Columbia.

On November 21, Foreign Minister B.Battsetseg attended the Opening Ceremony of the Honorary Consulate of Mongolia in Toronto. The Heads of Consulates in Toronto, Honorary Consuls, business representatives and Mongolian citizens residing in Toronto attended the opening ceremony. Mongolian traditional performance was staged during the opening ceremony.

Bryon Wilfert, the Honorary Consul of Mongolia in Toronto, Ontario province assumed his duties in July 2023. In addition to Ontario province, Mongolia has Honorary Consuls in the provinces of Quebec, Alberta, and British Columbia.
