“EBI” SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM FOR INTERNATIONAL YOUNG MONGOLISTS

 

  1. GENERAL

The “EBI” Scholarship Program for International Young Mongolists encourages and supports undergraduate students in a field of Mongolian Studies at the international universities, provides opportunities to learn the Mongolian language intensively and to become acquainted with the culture and lifestyles of the Mongols. The application procedures are as follows:

 

  1. SELECTION CRITERIA

 

2.1. Selection procedures will be organized by the following criteria:

2.1.1. Applicants must be registered at the Diplomatic Mission of Mongolia abroad.

2.1.2. Applicants are required to be foreign citizens who are studying Mongolian. The citizens of Mongolia are ineligible.

2.1.3. An admission committee in each Diplomatic Mission of Mongolia will organize the selection process before 15 May 2017.

2.1.4. The selection process consists of essay writing and interview.

2.2. The Central Selection Committee shall provide the scholarship recipient’s name to the Diplomatic Mission of Mongolia abroad by 01 June 2017.

2.3. The Admission Committee in each diplomatic mission shall award the certificate to each of the scholarship recipients and is responsible for issuing a visa for Mongolia.

  1. SCHOLARSHIP AND GRANT DURATION

3.1. The grant will cover the period from 07–18 August 2017 and the program will be organized by the National Council of Mongolian Studies, “Mongolian foundation” NGO and “EBI” Institute in Mongolia. Scholarship recipients will visit to the Center for Mongolian studies, and cultural and academic facilities in Ulaanbaatar, attend lectures delivered by renowned scholars and visit to the countryside to get acquainted with the customs and lifestyles of the Mongols.

3.2. The scholarship will provide applicants with round-trip flights to and from Mongolia and cover the costs of accommodation, food and domestic travel.
