The Embassy of Mongolia to the People’s Republic of China in cooperation with the ‘’Globe International Center’’ /NGO/, organized a Diplomatic Briefing on 12 September, 2016 at the Embassy’s Meeting Hall.
Representatives from the Embassies of Switzerland, Belgium, Norway, Netherlands, Finland, Austria, Poland, Estonia, Latvia, Sweden, Lithuania, Croatia, Romania, Denmark, Kyrgyzstan and Mongolia, as well as representatives from the UNESCO Office in Beijing, Delegation from the European Union to China and Mongolia and the ‘’Globe International Center’’ attended the briefing.
The opening remarks were given by Ms.Tuvshintugs Battsetseg, Minister Counsellor of the Embassy of Mongolia to the PRC and Mr. Robert Parua, Officer in Charge, UNESCO Office in Beijing. Ms.Khashkhuu Naranjargal, Head of the “Globe International Center” gave detailed information about Mongolia’s UPR Recommendations on Freedoms of Opinion and Expression and its follow-up process.
The Diplomatic Briefing was aimed at informing the participants on the follow-up process and progresses of implementation of recommendations for Mongolia’s Universal Periodic Review on freedom of opinion and expression submitted at the 22nd UN’s Human Rights Council’s UPR Session in Geneva on May 5, 2015.
