The Seventh Asian and Pacific Population Conference, which is being organized by the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) in collaboration with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) is being held at the United Nations Conference Centre in Bangkok from 15 to 17 November 2023.
At the Seventh Conference, participants discussed implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals, population dynamics, sustainable development and climate change, health, including sexual and reproductive health and reproductive rights, inequalities and social exclusion and rights, partnerships, and regional cooperation. Furthermore, the conference reviewed the progress made in the implementation of the Asian and Pacific Ministerial Declaration on Population and Development, as well as the Programme of Action of the International Conference on Population and Development and the key actions for its further implementation in Asia and the Pacific.
Deputy Foreign Minister G.Amartuvshin participated in the high-level panel discussion under agenda item “Review of progress made towards the implementation of the Asian and Pacific Ministerial Declaration on Population and Development, as well as of the PoA of the ICPD” and delivered a statement.
