H.E. Mrs. Battsetseg Batmunkh, Minister for Foreign Affairs, received H.E. Mr. Muhammad Al-Mutairi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Kuwait to Mongolia, on March 26, 2021, and exchanged views on the Mongolia-Kuwaiti relations and cooperation.
Minister Battsetseg underlined the commemoration of the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries last year, while emphasizing her commitment to further strengthen the traditionally friendly relations and expand bilateral cooperation. Furthermore, the Minister stressed the importance of the projects being implemented by the aids of the Government of Kuwait and informed that the Burn-Center project will start its’ operation within the first half of this year.
Ambassador Muhammad Al-Mutairi congratulated Minister Battsetseg and conveyed the greetings of the Kuwaiti Foreign Minister. He expressed his satisfaction with the development of the bilateral relations and cooperation. Ambassador also mentioned about the possibilities of cooperation in tourism and air services between our two countries, and the importance of signing agreements on tourism and air services.
The two sides exchanged views on cooperation against COVID-19 pandemic. Minister Battsetseg informed about initial doses of vaccines, delivered by the COVAX Facility, and expressed her gratitude to the Government of Kuwait for partnering in the Facility as donor country.
