Foreign Minister Ts. Munkh-Orgil attended the Investors Roundtable, which was organized by American Chamber of Commerce Mongolia (AmCham) within the margins of the Fourth US Trade Mission on June 12-13, 2017.

Minister Ts.Munkh-Orgil updated the representatives of over 50 Mongolian and American business entities, and investors on current state of Mongolian economy; on economic and trade measures, and policies taken by the Government of Mongolia to improve the country’s economic situation; to support and protect the trade and investment; to stabilize the legal environment; and to restore foreign investors’ trust.  The Minister also updated business community on the latest events and bilateral negotiations, including with the U.S., and their outcomes. Minister Ts.Munkh-Orgil listened to the voice of the investors and businesses, their challenges and difficulties; and answered to their questions. He emphasized on a need in further close cooperation.

Moreover, Minister Munkh-Orgil met Mrs. Anabel Gonzalez, Senior Director, Trade and Competitiveness Global Practice, Trade & Competitiveness of the World Bank, and exchanged views on matters such as increasing FDI, diversification of the economy, introducing World Bank’s experience into Mongolia’s negotiation process of FTAs with other countries and receiving the advice.
