On 16 May 2017, H.E. Mr. Tugsbilguun Tumurkhuleg, Ambassador of Mongolia to the Kingdom of Thailand visited the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration and met with H.E. Pol. Gen. Aswin Kwanmuang, Governor of Bangkok.

During the meeting, the two sides confirmed their willingness to further expand the relations between Ulaanbaatar and Bangkok, and promote cooperation in the fields of healthcare, tourism, sports and people-to-people exchanges.

With a view to upgrade the relations between Ulaanbaatar and Bangkok, H.E. Pol Gen Aswin Kwanmuang, Governor of Bangkok expressed his readiness to visit Mongolia and discuss a wide range of issues related to the cooperation between the two capitals.
