H.E.S.Sukhbold, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Mongolia to the UN met with Ms.Karin Hulshof, UNICEF Asia-Pacific and East Asia Regional Director, in New York, on 10 June 2016.

            Ambassador S.Sukhbold congratulated Ms.Karin Hulshof with her new important position and underscored that Mongolia has been attaching particular importance to child protection and development issues and valued UNICEF contribution to these undertakings.

Ms.Karin Hulshof was committed to maintain the traditional close cooperation between the Government of Mongolia and UNICEF regional center and briefed about regional priorities in the child protection and development field.

UNICEF’s new Country Programme Document for Mongolia in 2017-2021, to be adopted by the Executive Board in September 2016 in New York, will mainly focus on child survival and development, inclusive, healthy and quality learning environments, and equitable social policies and protective systems.
