Ambassador Yadmaa ARIUNBOLD met with Mr. Ben Chalmers, Senior Vice President of the Mining Association of Canada on February 25, 2019 to exchange views on potential opportunities for cooperation in mining sector.

Mr. Ben Chalmers presented “Towards sustainable mining” (TSM), the performance assessment system, which the Mining Association of Canada initiated in 2004. The  TSM is mandatory for its members and currently 5 member countries are applying the system in accordance to their own features. Parties agreed to link the mining associations between two countries and to study the possibilities to introduce the system.
