On 30 October 2020, Mongolian non-resident Ambassador to the Republic of Estonia T.Janabazar met with Mr. Arvo Ott, Director of “E-Governance Academy” of Estonia to discuss Mongolia-Estonian cooperation in the field of E-Governance, information technology and cybersecurity.
The Ambassador informed the Estonian side about the “E-Mongolia” digital platform which is intended to serve as a one-stop-shop for various government services, launched officially on 1 October 2020. Furthermore, the Ambassador extended his gratitude to the Estonian side for its continued support and cooperation on implementing E-Governance in Mongolia by sharing its best practices and know-how of the ICT sector.
Two sides agreed to further intensify its cooperation on a digital society and cybersecurity by coordinating joint activities on E-Governance, exploring possibilities of scholarship quotas for Mongolian students to study at Tallinn Technical University as well as organizing short term professional courses for Mongolian professionals in the field.
E-Governance Academy has officially invited Mongolian representatives to attend the “E-Governance” International Conference to be held on 18-20 May 2021 in Tallinn. The conference is an annual event organized by the E-Governance Academy with the support of the Government of Estonia. Every year more than 1200 participants from over 130 countries take part in the conference with a view to exchange their experiences and best practices on E-Governance as well as new technology development.
