A SYMPOSIUM, “UNLOCKING OPPORTUNITIES: UN CONVENTION ON THE LAW OF THE SEA AND DRY PORT DEVELOPMENT IN LANDLOCKED DEVELOPING COUNTRIES”, WAS ORGANIZED

On 25th March, a symposium titled “Unlocking Opportunities: UN Convention on the Law of the Sea and Dry Port Development in Landlocked Developing Countries” convened at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mongolia, as part of the “Port Revival National Forum – 2024”.

This significant event was a collaborative effort between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, the National Port Rehabilitation Committee of the Government of Mongolia, the Maritime Administration under the Ministry of Road and Transport of Mongolia, and the International Think Tank for Landlocked Developing Countries (ITTLLDC).

At the opening of the symposium, Ms. Battsetseg Batmunkh, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Mr. Tulga Buya, Minister and Chairman of the National Committee for Port Revitalization; Mr. Monkh-Orgil Tsend, Member of the Great Hural, Member of the UN International Law Commission, are presented the measures implemented by the government in the field of “Port Revitalization”, and noted that this event is commemorating the 75th anniversary of the UN International Law Commission.
