The “Model-UN” organized annually by the School of Political Science, International Relations and Public Administration of the National University of Mongolia was successfully held on 25-26 November 2023 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia and the Library of the National University of Mongolia.

More than 100 participants from National University of Mongolia, Mongolian University of Science and Technology, Mongolian University of Life Sciences, University of the Humanities, Mongolia International University and secondary schools participated in the conference under the theme “World Divided: A Vision for Global Solidarity, Peace, and Sustainable Future” and discussed problems facing the world.

The opening ceremony of the event was attended by Mr. P. Baasankhuu, Deputy Director General of the Department of Multilateral Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Vinod Ahuja, FAO Representative in Mongolia, and Mr. S. Munkhbat, Dean of the School of Political Science, International Relations and Public Administration of the National University of Mongolia. H.E. Ms. Sandra Choufani, Ambassador of Canada to Mongolia, and Ms. Matilda Dimovska, UNDP Resident Representative in Mongolia took part in the closing ceremony of the event.

The “Model-UN” is an international event aimed at providing practical experience to students and young people by utilizing their accumulated theoretical knowledge in the fields of politics, international relations, history, society, and economics.

This year, the 18th “Model-UN 2023” conference was organized by the School of Political Science, International Relations and Public Administration of the National University of Mongolia in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations.
