On the occasion of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Georgia, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia Ts. Munkh-Orgil and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia M. Janelidze have exchanged congratulatory messages.

While noting that over the past 25 years Mongolia and Georgia have enjoyed traditionally friendly relations and fruitful cooperation in many areas, Minister Ts. Munkh-Orgil has expressed the intention to further strengthen the relations with Georgia by enhancing the collaboration in the fields of trade and economy, tourism, agriculture and people-to-people exchanges.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Mr. M. Janelidze has expressed a strong desire to explore ways to further invigorate and deepen the amicable relations and mutually beneficial cooperation that were developed both bilaterally and multilaterally, based on shared values of freedom and democracy, and has reaffirmed the commitment to bring the relations to a new level.

Mongolia and Georgia established diplomatic relations on 12 May 1992.
