Foreign Minister Ts.Munkh-Orgil met with Mr.James Anderson, Country Director of the World Bank Group in Mongolia and Mr.Tuyen Nguyen, Resident Representative of the International Finance Corporation on 22 August.

Minister Ts.Munkh-Orgil briefed the World Bank representatives on structure and priorities of the newly established Government, and highlighted its plan of actions directed at stabilizing macro-economic situation and regaining investors’ confidence. Minister Ts.Munkh-Orgil also noted that as functions related to promotion of foreign trade and economic cooperation included in the Ministry’s structure, parties can further cooperate in areas such as diversifying Mongolia’s export structure, trade facilitation and conducting researches on international trade mechanisms.

The World Bank representatives briefed the Minister on activities of the bank in Mongolia and agreed to discuss further on the issues of collaboration, including the training of the national team to facilitate the negotiations on regional economic integration and international trade agreements.
