H.E. Mr. Badamdorj Batkhishig, non-resident Ambassador of Mongolia to the Republic of Uzbekistan, met Mr. Alisher Vakhabov, Minister of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan, on June 21, 2016 in Tashkent and exchanged views on bilateral relations in the field of education, culture and science.

The ambassador stressed that more than 2000 Mongolian citizens had acquired higher and special education in Uzbekistan by 1990 and proposed to retrain them as well as to provide scholarships of the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Mongolian students.

Issues such as cooperation between science institutes of the two countries, namely, conducting historical and cultural studies were among the topics raised by the ambassador.

Mr. A.Fatkhullaev, Director of the Department of Asia and the Pacific of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, was present at the meeting.
