EXCHANGES VIEWS ON BILATERAL RELATIONS OF MONGOLIA AND UZBEKISTAN

Mr. Badamdorj Batkhishig, non-resident Ambassador of Mongolia to the Republic of Uzbekistan, met Mr. A.Fatkhullaev, Director of the Department of Asia and the Pacific of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, on June 21, 2016 in Tashkent and talked about bilateral relations of Mongolia and Uzbekistan.

The ambassador Badamdorj Batkhishig proposed to sign the Agreement on the Abolition of Visas for Diplomatic and Official Passport Holders by the end of this year, as well as to sign other bilateral documents in the near future including the Agreement on Cooperation in the Field of Agriculture, the Agreement on Cooperation in the Field of Trade, Economy, Science and Technology, the Agreement on Air Service, the Agreement on Cooperation in the Field of Tourism, and the Agreement on Cooperation to Combat Terrorism.

Moreover, the ambassador suggested organizing the forth meeting of bilateral political consultation between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the two countries next year in Tashkent, as well as mutual visits between other ministries and authorities.

Mongolia established diplomatic relations with the Republic of Uzbekistan on January 25, 1992 after the latter had announced its independence on September 3, 1991. The Embassy of Mongolia in Ankara is accredited and covers Uzbekistan while the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Beijing covers Mongolia.
