On 2 April 2018, the Embassy of Mongolia in Bangkok in collaboration with the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNISDR) Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific organized a briefing session on the 2018 Asian Ministerial Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction (AMCDRR) to be held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia from 3 to 6 July 2018.

During the event, H.E. Mr. Tugsbilguun Tumurkhuleg, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary and Permanent Representative of Mongolia to the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) and Ms. Loretta Hieber-Girardet, Chief of UNISDR Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific briefed members of the Advisory Committee of Permanent Representatives to UNESCAP as well as other representatives of diplomatic missions accredited to Thailand on the status of preparations and expected outcomes of the 2018 AMCDRR, and answered questions from the audience.
