On December 21, 2020, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba hosted a presentation of commemorative stamps dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the Republic of Cuba. The Foreign minister of Cuba, H.E.Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, Deputy foreign minister Anayansi Rodríguez, Ambassador Sh.Battsetseg, Member of the Cuban National Assembly and Chair of the Foreign affairs committee Yolanda Ferrer Gómez attended the event and Ambassadors of China, Russia, Turkey, Chile, Laos, Costa Rica and Nicaragua participated as the guests of honor.
In her opening remarks, deputy minister Anayansi Rodríguez highlighted the importance Cuba attributes to the bilateral relations and cooperation with Mongolia, emphasizing the high-level historical visits between the two countries and expressed her satisfaction with the active development of bilateral cooperation in the health, biotechnology, sports, education and agricultural sectors.
Ambassador Sh.Battsetseg stated that the efforts of the people and diplomats of the two countries, who have created a rich history of bilateral relations, are invaluable, and that we are here today celebrating those sixty years of shared success and witnessing to make a history together for the next chapter of another sixty years. Furthermore, Ambassador expressed her full commitment to further strengthen bilateral cooperation and congratulated the Cuban people on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the diplomatic relations and wished them prosperity.
At the end of the event, Foreign minister Bruno Rodríguez and Ambassador Sh.Battsetseg signed an envelope with a commemorative stamp dedicated to the 60th anniversary, and Ambassador Sh.Battsetseg handed over the copy of the 999 golden coins of Fidel Castro and Che Guevara, as being part of the series of world famous revolutionary figures, issued by the Bank of Mongolia.
